St Patrick's Day Parade - Tucson
2018 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Tucson
The Fr. Anthony Rey Assembly 3617 led the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School parade entry. School students rode on a 1954 Fire Engine while parents and sibling marched behind. Six Sir Knights provided a Color Guard for the entry.

Veterans Benefit - Tucson
The Msgr. James T. Weber Assembly #2152 held its 15th Annual Veterans Benefit Dinner last November 11 to raise funds for the personal needs of veteran patients at the Southern Arizona VA Hospital in Tucson. On Feb 2, 2018, members of the Weber Assembly visited Deborah Brookshire, VA Volunteer Services supervisor and presented her with a check for $3,000.00, the proceeds of that dinner. The dinner is known as the Richard J. Venegas Veterans Benefit Dinner in honor of S.K. Richard J. Venegas, PFN and former color corps callout coordinator for Tucson, and one of the kindest and most deeply faithful Knights many of us have ever known.
The dinner on Veterans Day featured keynote speaker Ron Furtak, Lt. Col., USAF (Ret). Col. Furtak was a Search and Rescue (SAR) pilot in Vietnam with almost 900 hours combat time on 191 missions for the rescue of 27 souls. He is today a DOCENT at the Pima Air & Space Museum.
The Weber Assembly Color Corps demonstrated the Flag-Folding Ceremony (which you can see here http://kofcknights.org/AssemblyPhotoGalleries.asp?A=2152) and the powerful and moving POW/MIA ceremony. We also had a display of military memorabilia from WW I to the war on terror.
We had a record turnout and eagerly look forward to Veterans Benefit Dinner No. 16 next year.

Christmas Parade!
Fr. Douglas J. Nohava Council 1229.
Our Fourth Degree color corps was in this years annual Winslow Christmas Parade. This Year’s Christmas party was a hit, especially because Santa Clause came to visit the children.
Also, our hard working Knights repainted the Hope Pregnancy Resource Center. We are looking forward to 2018 so we can further serve our Parish and Community!

Tucson Parade of Lights
Please find attached photos from the Tucson Parade of Lights from Assembly 3617.
This is annual Christmas Parade in Tucson won't say Christmas. Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School once again had an entry in the parade. Principal Roll invited the Fr Anthony Rey Assembly 3617 Color Guard to lead the entry. One of the school's parent owns a 1950's Fire Engine which the students got to ride on. This was a tremendously enjoyable event for the students, the parents, and especially the Knights!

Sir Knights from the Hughes Assembly helped feed 400 airmen at Davis Monthan AFB Thanksgiving Dinner. The Hughes Assembly also donated $500 worth of Honey Baked Hams to this effort.

Fr. Anthony Rey, Assembly 3617 Sir Knights, father and son Bill and Billy Barrett (center) joined Gercke Assembly 16, the mother of Tucson Assemblies, in the Tucson Veterans' Day parade color guard.
Gercke Assembly also provided a riding trailer for those Sir Knights and their families which could not march.
Fiesta de Tumacacori
#1 Ten Sir Knights, from five Assemblies, celebrated the 51st Fiesta de Tumacacori December 2, escorting Bishop Gerald Kicanas in the procession to Mass at the Tumacacori Mission.
#2 FN Dan Doyle, Duval Assembly 19 in Nogales, has attended all 51 Fiesta de Tumacacori processions as a Knight.
