Worthy District Deputies and Grand Knights,

We are only weeks away from completing the Fraternal Year.  Please do not delay in submitting your SP-7 so that your Council's can receive the recognition they deserve for all of their hard work.  The attached newsletter has the info need to insure your SP-7 is filled out correctly.  In addition it contains information on applying for the Domestic Church participation award and news about the State's ultrasound initiative.

Program Ideas

I know it is hot but it is not to early to think about Christmas and activities that supports Supreme's Domestic Church Initiative. You can get the youth of your Parish involved along with their families by sponsoring a   Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest. It is easy to set up and the info is available at the KOFC.org website:  http: //www.kofc.org/en/members/programs/church-activities/christmas-poster-contest.html#/Action%20Steps

 

Another initiative to consider is the Christian Relief Solidarity Cross Program The program invites K of C units to purchase 5-inch olivewood crosses made by Christian artisans in the Holy Land and then to sell them in their parishes and communities for a suggested donation of $10 to $20 per cross. The crosses themselves serve as a reminder to pray for persecuted Christians, and net proceeds of all sales are contributed to the Knights of Columbus Christian Refugee Relief Fund.  Your Council can order Crosses made in the Holy Land and all proceeds will support persecuted Christians  https://www.kofc.org/un/en/resources/charities/christian-relief/solidarity-cross-flyer.pdf
